The Modern dance classes are focused on body awareness and spatial awareness. Other aspects you will work on are moving the upper and lower body as separate parts and as one supported by the strength of your core (center). I’ll pay attention on creating dynamics in your dance by playing with timing and force. You’ll develop flexibility and strength by performing different exercises. Beside the techniques of Modern dance which can be very useful in every dance style (in partner dance and solo dance), another aspect of the classes will be how to use your body to express yourself and to learn how to communicate with your body. The lessons are accessible to intermediate dancers.
