Workshop Samba Solo (Open Level)
The word ‘samba’ came from the African word ‘semba’, meaning belly button in the Luanda dialect. The oldest form of samba danced in Brazil is samba no pé – a solo dance most often danced impromptu when samba music is played. It originated in the suburbs and favelas of Rio de Janeiro and is the type of samba presented in Brazil’s spectacular Carnival parades.
Samba Solo, also known as Samba no pé – a solo dance originated in the suburbs and favelas of Rio de Janeiro and is the type of samba presented in Brazil’s spectacular Carnival parades.
Anderson & Brenda will give you some basics steps and a small choreo to give you a feeling of Brasil.
For ladies heels is recommended and for guys a jacket would look nice. In November we will start a course for this dance, so this is the perfect opportunity to try this vibrating dance!
